Cloud Computing???

Need to get a document reviewed or edited by a group of people instantly?
Wanna have access to all your files anywhere and anytime?
Wish you could reduce the load of different softwares on the systems in your organisation?
Well no worries Cloud Computing will come to your rescue....

Cloud computing is a term that refers to a phenomenon in which the task to be performed by a user on his/her computer is performed on other remotely located server(s) across the network. Multiple servers can also act as a computing platform for a particular task by integrating them using the concept of visualization. With the help of it you can pass on the document to every employee, collect back their individual edited versions of the document, and sit back and scan through each copy, and then finally create a compiled version of it. This would rather be a tedious way to complete this task without using cloud computing features.

The most regular example is Google drive is an example for the above instance that allows cloud based creation and editing of documents.Cloud computing is mainly used for remote computing, processing, editing and storage of data.Cloud computing also involves the installation of a software on a remotely based server, to which the users can log in and use the tools provided, without having to install the software on the individual computers. This inturn reduces the complexity of managing several computers using the particular software, and also reduces the overhead and load on the systems individually.

Cloud computing plays a major role in online storage of documents, information, pictures, videos etc. Storing information on the cloud is much more secure than storing it on the PC or other devices such as tablets, smartphones etc. Cloud storage therefore, increases the capacity of the data that you can store and hence can be accessed from multiple locations using different devices (i.e. your data is in sync with all your devices). This also ensures that your data is safe even when your computer breaks down or blows off. This information is always available to you on the go, provided you are connected to the internet.

The most popular cloud storage services used are
     ·        Sky Drive (by Microsoft, now renamed                     as One Drive)
      ·        Drive (by Google)
      ·        Drop box
      ·        Box
      ·        4 shared and many more…
